British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says he was “shocked and sad” to learn that King Charles has cancer.
But he is relieved that the illness was caught early and he adds everyone in Britain will be “willing him on.”
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has also wished the King a speedy recovery.
And Governor General Mary Simon is praising the monarch for leading by example in choosing to share his cancer diagnosis with the public.
Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that King Charles has begun outpatient treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
It was found during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate but is not prostate cancer.
