
The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit doing their part to keep the community informed about a recent recall on Enfamil infant formula that may contain harmful or potentially fatal bacteria inside.
The Nutramigen A+ LGG hypoallergenic formula comes in either the 561 gram containers or a pack of four.
UPC codes are 0 56796 004982 or 0 56796 0044985
To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with this recall but the health unit has contacted local healthcare providers to ensure they have accurate information to share with their clients.
Food contaminated with the bacteria may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause sickness.

Symptoms
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advises:
- If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider,
- Check to see if you have recalled products,
- Do not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products.
Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased. A refund can be requested by contacting Enfamil at 1-866-534-9986 or by email at consumer.relations@reckitt.com.
