A late-night fire last week has caused significant damage to a home on Windham Road 10.
Four stations from the Norfolk County Fire Department responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Crews from Delhi, Teeterville, Courtland and Waterford were on scene to battle the blaze.
The only occupant was able to escape safely, but heavy fire and smoke caused an estimated $170,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and due to the extent of the damage, crews were unsure if there were working smoke alarms in the house.
