A Norfolk County man facing serious charges after stealing a wallet from a car then using the victims card to go on a shopping spree.
On November 25th, the suspect entered a vehicle parked on Berkley Crescent in Simcoe, took the wallet, then used utilized the stolen bank cards to make purchases at various local businesses.
When arrested, a quantity of stolen merchandise from a nearby business was discovered in their possession.
37-year-old Christopher Smith of Norfolk County has been charged with:
- Theft,
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
- Fraud under $5,000 (three counts).
