Norfolk County’s newest art exhibit is easy on the eyes, and ears!
More than 130 paintings celebrating Canadian music are on display at Lynnwood Arts in Simcoe as part of the These Walls Can Sing exhibit.
Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 were asked to interpret a Canadian song in a painting.
The resulting gallery has labels with QR codes linking the songs to the paintings, allowing people to tune in while they check it out.
Canadian singer/songwriters Lawrence Gowan, Fred Penner, Ian Bell and the Good Lovelies also created paintings for the project, along with staff from the school board.
The exhibit lasts until February, when each piece will be auctioned off to donate to Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
