It’s always a relief when you find a new place to call home – and one local organization that provides relief for many of our neighbours in need is excited to announce that they have done just that.
We spoke with Joan Pringle President of St. Vincent de Paul for St. Mary’s Isolated Conference (Delhi, Simcoe, Waterford), about the reopening of St. Vincent de Paul’s Community Kitchen, which is overseen by Deacon Gerard.
The Community Kitchen will be welcoming community members today (Thursday) from noon until 1pm, and lunch isn’t the only thing on the menu.
After today, they will be open at Trinity Anglican Church Hall, located at 80 Colborne Street South in Simcoe, from noon until 1pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition to running the Community Kitchen, they also provide emergency food hampers, delivered to those in our community by volunteer drivers.
