It’s Seeds Of Success Day, we are looking at the Equestrian world today, and what better place to discuss that than at the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show?
We spoke with Vicki Cork, Chair of the Horse Show.
She explained, as we were driving in a golf cart around the fairgrounds during a busy day last week, why this Horse Show is so important in Norfolk County, and to horse owners from around the area.
We spoke to Robert Lee as well, who has been coming to the fair with horses for decades now.
He explained what brought him and his Percheron horses to the fairgrounds this year.
That “Becky” he spoke of was Rebecca Lee, who was standing next to the two horses on display.
She said they are local, with a farm just outside of Waterford, and having Horse Shows like this is a big deal.
We also had a chance to talk to Carlo Frei from Tannenfels Stables, who grew up surrounded by horses and carries that torch forward.
He had many horses and riders in competitions all week, specifically, we spoke to him during Jumper Day.
The love for horses attracts those young and old too.
We chatted with Gracelyn Lockstein, who was all set to participate in the horse show this year but had to sit it out due to a last-minute injury.
While still young, her love for horses runs back pretty far helping out as young as 2 and then starting lessons at 6.
