Juravinski Cancer Centre Pumpkin Patch organizer Jessica Durka thought that their roadside pumpkin patch and fall décor fundraiser ended with the sale of the family farm last year, but sometimes life hands us happy surprises.
And we caught up with Andrew Sloot from his cottage while on his honeymoon, who says they are very excited to be on board.
The Juravinski Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser is having it’s Opening Weekend this weekend, and while she has stepped back, Durka will be on hand to pass off the reins and get things started with some special items that will only be available this weekend.
For the rest of the season, you’ll find the usual orange pumpkins and white pumpkins, pie pumpkins, corn stalks, straw bales, and other fall décor, and the Sloot family plans to add some of their own touches.
The JCCPP will be running until Halloween, from 9am to 6pm 7 days a week. While the previous location for the patch had a locked cashbox on site for any afterhours purchases; they are changing it to etransfers after hours this year.
Austin’s Pick Your Own is located at 2591 Cockshutt Road Waterford.
