If the rising cost of food in Ontario has become a growing concern for you and your family, you’re not alone.
Because of this, a panel discussion surrounding the issue of food insecurity is set to take place Wednesday, September 26th at the Simcoe Library Branch.
Carrie Sinkowski, Community Developer for the Community Legal Clinic Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk, notes the discussion will be broad as every member of the community is impacted differently.
She adds that for many, they don’t even realize they are food insecure.
The aim of the panel is to learn about resources available, share lived experiences and come up with constructive ways on how to help.
Sinkowski says that while this is a much broader issue, all discussions will center around Norfolk County.
The free event is being hosted by local social justice organization RISE and kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
