The Brantford Police Service are not giving up hope in their years long investigation into the discovery of a new born baby’s remains.
18 years ago, on July 28th, the remains were found near the walking trails by Dufferin Avenue.
The investigation led to the largest canvas completed by Brantford police with hundreds of DNA samples collected.
Excerpts of a letter collected during the initial phases of the investigation were previously released, with the hopes that someone would recognize the handwriting that were purportedly written by the mother saying she would contact police in the coming days, but never did.
Police believe the mother may have been between 13-17 years old, with a connection to the Holmedale neighbourhood.
The pregnancy was possibly kept secret by the mother from those close to her.
Anyone with information is still being asked to contact the police.
