
Brantford Police took down an illegal psilocybin mushroom business operating on Colborne Street.
Armed with a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the cops raided the place and found a stash worth $10,755.
They found around 554 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 521.5 grams of psilocybin edibles, along with drug paraphernalia and cash.
Police arrested a 26-year-old woman from Brantford on the spot. During the arrest they found 0.3 grams of suspected cocaine on her person.
She has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Psilocybin), Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine).
The Brantford Police Service wants everyone to know psilocybin is a restricted substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA).
