A Port Dover man is facing charges following the death of a Woodstock K9 dog.
On Monday, Stratford Police attempted to pull over a vehicle containing 48-year-old Henry Karkcheck of Port Dover and 55-year-old Gary Roulston on Stratford but they fled the scene, throwing what was later confirmed to be meth out of the car.
Karcheck was on a condition to remain at home as a result of an arrest made back in August of last year.
They were eventually found and arrested, with the Woodstock police called in for back up – this is when two of the k9 dogs showed sign drug ingestion.
Taz was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the vet but Striker has since made a recovery.
As a result of the investigation, both men are facing several charges related to drug trafficking, fleeing police, and the death of the dog.
