Ontario is adding 300 new spaces in paramedic college programs this year.
Health Minister Sylvia Jones says the move is intended to bolster the paramedic workforce and make sure emergency services are available when Ontarians need them.
The move comes after several paramedic services across the province reported that offload delays and ambulance availability worsened from 2021 to 2022.
Jones says 14 Ontario colleges will offer the extra spaces this year.
