A man on motorcycle, trying to evade the police, crashes onto the beach in Port Dover.
On Tuesday night, police in the Lakeside town spotted two motorcycles with licence plate infractions that caught their attention but when officers went to stop the two bikes – they fled the scene.
One of them took to the streets, but the other motorcycle operator attempted to drive onto the beach.
A witness to the event told NorfolkToday that they saw the motorcycle almost hit a pedestrian before they went onto the sand, crashing near water.
This individual was arrested and charged.
37-year-old Matthew Deiaco of Hamilton is facing the following charges:
Operation while prohibited – legal restriction from any other act of parliament or provincial law,
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – in Canada,
Use plate not authorized for vehicle,
Confuse identity of plate,
Unnecessary noise.
