A house fire in Simcoe has seriously injured one individual.
The blaze started at a Head Street home yesterday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found the fire in full effect with heavy smoke and flames coming through the front of the house – taking around 5 and a half hours to put out the fire.
One occupant was transported to hospital with burn injuries and the others were assessed by Norfolk County Paramedic Services and released on-scene.
Total loss for this fire is estimated to be $500,000 plus additional exterior damages to a neighbouring home.
