One of the workers injured in the incident at Stelco late last month has passed away.
The Ministry of Labour was notified of the death on May 16.
On April 25, the ministry was made aware of an incident that took place at Stelco Inc. Lake Erie in Nanticoke involving two workers employed by John Kenyon Limited being injured.
The workers were transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
As of May 17, the Ministry of Labour has issued two orders and four requirements to John Kenyon Limited, and one order to Stelco Inc.
The ministry said the investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time, but they said their thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues of this worker.
