Ride Norfolk has launched Phase 1 of its new booking app.
As part of a one-year technology pilot partnership with Blaise Transit, all stops on the Brantford line are now bookable on the existing fixed schedule.
Riders are encouraged to download the Blaise Transit app but trips can also be booked or called in.
When Phase 2 launches in July, Ride Norfolk’s local routes will become an “on demand” service where riders can book on a first come, first served basis between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Booking a ride on the Brantford line will allow riders to:
· Guarantee their seat
· Track the bus in real-time on their mobile device
· Receive ‘push notifications’ on their mobile device in the event there is a service delay or disruption
· Pay for their ride digitally through the Blaise Transit app
Other changes in July include:
· Users can book a ride stop-to-stop during all service hours (some restrictions will apply)
· Users can pay for their rides digitally for all routes
· More stops added throughout Simcoe
