A major intersection in Turkey Point may be getting an all-way stop.
Norfolk County staff is recommending these changes to the intersection of Turkey Point Road and Cedar Drive.
Right now, Cedar has no stop signs.
Those traveling down Turkey Point Road have to fully stop to turn left and yield to turn right.
Staff have also observed significant seasonal use by pedestrians and cyclists in the intersection, typically walking to and from the beach from the provincial park and the Turkey Point pavilion/playground area.
The report says that installation of an All-Way Stop will enhance the safety for these groups, as would a painted crosswalk to facilitate pedestrian movement across Cedar Drive should Council wish to consider that option.
