
Multiple impaired drivers have been taken off the road in Haldimand and Norfolk recently.
On Friday, March 24, at around 10:50 a.m. a Haldimand County OPP officer stopped a vehicle on County Line in Townsend while out on patrol. Following the stop, 47-year-old Scott Noval of Haldimand was charged with operation while impaired blood alcohol 80 plus, and operate a vehicle without a valid permit.
Later that day a 32-year-old Norfolk County woman was stopped during a R.I.D.E. check in Simcoe at around 11 p.m. As a result of the check, Cassandra June Roberts was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
On Sunday, officers responded to a single-vehicle rollover collision on Concession 6 in Woodhouse at around 1:20 a.m.
The vehicle was found on its roof. The driver, Travis James Caerels, was transported to hospital for minor injuries.
The 27-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol 80 plus, drive a vehicle with cannabis readily available, and drive a vehicle with liquor readily available.
All three drivers are set to appear in court at a later date.
