Paid parking is returning to Norfolk County.
The beachside towns of Port Dover, Long Point, and Turkey Point will each be participating in the second year of the pilot project.
After much debate between Norfolk County Council a decision was made to run the program from June 15 to September 5.
Between those days parking in specific spots will cost $4 an hour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A big change this year is that residents will be given the option to buy a pass, that would allow them to park for up to four hours a day in these spots.
The resident passes will cost $35 for the first one, and $20 for each additional pass tied to the same account. A resident has been defined as an individual who owns a vehicle registered to a qualifying Norfolk County address, or a property owner on tax roll.
Council also decided they will not be spending the money raised from last year’s project until they see how successful this year’s is.
Below are maps of where paid parking will be located.
