There are many great filmmakers in Haldimand and Norfolk and our local libraries want to acknowledge that with Watch Local Week.
That was Belinda Smith.
The whole community is invited out to participate in appreciating these videos, but they want to make sure they have as many movies and short films as possible from local talent.
This is the 3rd year this event has taken place.
Last year saw the loosening of some pandemic restrictions though, and that brought a fresh new element to the event.
With that, some people can’t make it out on certain days but they want their voices heard.
Something new this year is a fun challenge for high school students, a 24-hour Youth Film Challenge.
At that event, you’ll find out key elements you need for the film so you can’t start early.
The next day, those short films will be dropped off and the following day – everyone will sit back see what was created.
