Dominos in Simcoe and Port Dover are looking to help out a local family.
March 21st, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the local pizza shops are once again putting on a promotion where half of all sales that day will go towards a local family – the Jenkins.
10-year-old Jahmar was taken to the hospital last year for what was suspected to be a bad flu – but what doctors found was a large mass of lymph nodes in his airways and he tested positive for blood cancer.
It’s been a year of the family going in and out of the hospital for treatement and blood tranfusions and things get even more complicated when Jahmar had allergic reactions to chemo and other medication.
The hope is that in the next few months, as home treatment continues, he will be able to return back to school.
