A bit more information regarding the missing man found deceased in the waters of Lake Erie.
The Norfolk OPP released information that the man who was discovered off of Long Point recently.
We now know that he was 63-year-old Lee Korbel, who reports say was suspected of leaving his High Street apartment in Fairport Harbor around Oct. 6, and reported missing by family members on Oct. 21st.
His body was found a few days later on the 25th.
The Fairport Harbor Police say that the investigation led officers to suspect that Korbel went into the Grand River shortly after leaving his apartment and that they believe it was intentional with no foul play suspected.
Our local OPP reached out to Fairport Harbor Police after finding the department’s Facebook post asking for help finding Korbel.
