Twelve Norfolk charities received donations thanks to the County’s Dress Down Days.
Each Friday, Norfolk County staff have the option to pay $2 to dress casual, and that money goes to a good cause.
At the end of each month all of the money is donated to a different charity, adding up to close to $35,000 in 2022.
Throughout 2022 Haldimand Norfolk Women’s Services, Norfolk Association for Community Living, Cancer Support and Resource Program, Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Trillium), Simcoe Caring Cupboard Food Bank, Kidsport Norfolk County, Community Addiction and Mental Health Services, Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand-Norfolk, Lynn Valley Trail Association, Saint Vincent de Paul St. Mary’s, Purrfect Companions of Norfolk, and Salvation Army Haldimand-Norfolk each got a donation from the staff.
Charities are recommended and voted on by staff each month.
