A procession is taking place this morning to escort OPP Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala to Barrie.
The 28-year-old OPP officer was shot and killed on December 27 while responding to a call west of Hagersville.
The procession will depart from the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto at 9 a.m. and travel northbound on Highway 400 to Barrie.
Members of the public are invited join First Responders in showing their respects from one of the many overpasses along the highway.
Do not pull over and exit your vehicle on the side of the highway as it poses a serious safety concern.
For those unable to attend in person, the police will be live streaming it on multiple social media platforms.
A police funeral will be held for Pierzchala on January 4 in Barrie.
