It is time to get your children’s vaccine records up to date.
The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit sent out the reminder, stating that by law in Ontario, public health needs either an up-to-date vaccination record, or a valid exemption form.
This requirement covers all children attending a licensed child care centre, licensed home childcare agency, or school.
The records will help the health unit protect the community from vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, diptheria, and polio.
Immunization records can be reported online, by phone, mail, or fax.
More information can be found at hnhu.org/immunization-reporting.
