
Legislation that Ontario passed in early November to prevent 55-thousand unionized education workers from striking is set to be repealed today.
The province imposed a contract on Canadian Union of Public Employees and banned them from walking off the job.
The government’s law used the notwithstanding clause to guard against constitutional challenges, however thousands of workers walked off the job anyway.
