An update from our local school board’s regarding CUPE’s protest planned for Friday.
In Grand Erie, CUPE education workers make up 920 members of their staff including Educational Assistants, Communicative Disorder Assistants, Food Technicians, Clerical (school and central board staff), Library Technicians, Information Technology staff and Custodial and Maintenance staff.
They said in a release that they acknowledge the impact this uncertainty has on families and more information will follow.
For the Catholic board, CUPE does not represent any workers in the board and, as a result, this will not impact the daily routine of students, their academic program, school events, or transportation.
