With a growing population and some packed schools, the Grand Erie District School Board is having a public meeting this week to discuss student enrolment moving forward.
The board is in the process of looking at ways to re-balancing enrolment, and want the public to be a part of this process tomorrow.
Waterford Public School is currently overcapacity and is utilizing 6 portable classrooms to accommodate its enrolment.
Continued development within the town is expected to yield an additional 120 elementary students for Grand Erie in the next ten years.
But with that, enrolment projections suggest there will be surplus capacity at other elementary schools in the review area, as well as at Waterford District High School.
On June 13, 2022 the Grand Erie District School Board of Trustees approved the commencement of the Waterford Area Boundary Review. The Review involves:

Boston Public School
Delhi Public School
Teeterville Public School
Waterford Public School
Waterford District High School
