From the pilot parking project to new developments in town, there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to Port Dover.
Residents of the lakeside town came out in numbers to fill the Lighthouse Festival Theatre on Wednesday night to hear from the Ward 6 candidates for the upcoming municipal debate.
The five candidates were each given up to two minutes of time to introduce themselves to the crowd.
In alphabetical order their opening statements were as follows:
Peter Butler:
Holly Ann Smith:
Pamela Taylor:
Adam Veri:
Adam Wilson:
After their opening statements the candidates were asked about different topics, such as their top three priorities for the ward, their thoughts on the proposed waterpark in the lake, how to deal with the upcoming tax increases, and more.
We will be following up with stories covering these topics.
The entire debate was live streamed by the Port Dover Board of Trade, it can be viewed on their website.
