A Hamilton man is facing charges after carrying a firearm along the Lynn Valley Trail.
Norfolk County OPP responded to a call from a concerned cyclist on September 1 saying they saw an individual with a firearm near a Victoria Street entrance to the trail.
As a result, 38-year-old Eric Leroy Smith has been charged with the possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and three counts of fail to comply with probation order.
Members of OPP Canine Services and Emergency Response Team attended and assisted with the investigation.
