The Delhi branch of Dominos stepped up to help a young resident with acute lymphoma leukemia.
They are hoping to sell 1,000 pizzas in a fundraiser for two-and-a-half-year-old Marshall Eli Cox.
The young boy started with a fever on July 1. By July 4 his parents, Sarah and Adam, decided to take him to Norfolk General Hospital.
From NGH he was sent to Brantford for testing, before being sent to McMaster Children’s Hospital by ambulance.
Further testing came back confirming the leukemia.
The Delhi boy started chemo treatments on July 14, looking ahead to a seven month journey of these treatments.
The family is hoping to use the money to help with travel expenses, time off work, meals, and other costs of having a child in the hospital.
The pizza fundraiser is taking place on August 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Get a large pepperoni or cheese pizza from the Delhi Dominos location for $10 and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to Marshall and his family. Cash donations will also be accepted the day of the event.
