Kim Huffman is proud of the work council has done over the last four years.
But she feels with the impact COVID-19 had on the group, there is still more work to be done.
That is why she has put her name in to run for Ward 7 in the upcoming municipal election.
She added she has put in a request for a secondary plan for Waterford to be included in the upcoming budget to ensure the development coming is right for the community.
The councillor has also been an active member of the community, being involved with Waterford Minor Hockey, Waterford softball, Simcoe soccer, the Waterford Farmer’s Market, and other various agencies in the county.
Huffman, the current Waterford councillor, lives in the town with her family. She spoke to some of the biggest issues Norfolk County is facing today.
She addressed the concerns that have been voiced regarding her campaign for the Liberal Party in the 2019 federal election.
The sitting councillor said she has no further plans to run federally or provincially.
