A great opportunity for budding authors out in the community.
The Norfolk County Library is taking submissions for their 2022 Norfolk Literary Prize contest.
That was Belinda Smith, Virtual Library Coordinator.
She says this renewed focus on highlighting local authors has already seen results.
And they are casting a wide net as well, encouraging people young and old to flex that creative bone.
You can either submit a short story or a poem.
There are certain rules in place for each category though.
Short Stories:
• Must not exceed 2500 words
• Must be typed
• Must be double-spaced
• Must have pages numbered
Poems:
• May be any length
• Must be typed
• Must be double-spaced
• Must have pages numbered
You have until July 31st to enter with winners announced in October.
