Ontario Visually Impaired Golfers is still searching for volunteers.
The Greens at Renton will be host to two visually impaired golf tournaments in August, and both events still need volunteers.
Hugh Montgomery, Vice President Ontario Visually Impaired Golfers, explained what those volunteers will need to do.
The events in question are The Ontario Visually Impaired Golfers 2022 Provincial, and the Blind Golf Canada 2022 Canadian Blind Golf Championships.
Provincials will be taking place on August 7, 8, and 9, with the Canadian Championships following immediately after on August 10, 11, and 12.
Montgomery explained how a round of visually impaired golf takes place.
This year there are 32 players registered to compete in the events, coming from England, Ireland, America, Australia, and Canada.
Both events also need sponsors. If anyone is interested in either volunteering or sponsoring at the event, Montgomery can be reached at hugh.montgomery@bell.net for more information.
