A local mother had a unique idea to teach her daughter that everyone goes through struggles.
Lacey Mendes decided to write “You’ll Learn Soon, Radley Racoon,” a children’s book on this topic.
Topics covered in the book include encouragement, support, family, and uplifting those around you.
The self-published author said she wrote the book one night after finishing virtual learning for the day.
The Delhi resident suggests the book to other parents who have children going through similar struggles.
Mendes is working with staff at the Norfolk County Public Library to get a copy available there. For now, it can be purchased on Amazon, or locally at Firefly and Fox books in Simcoe, Little Local in Delhi, and Nifty Gifty in Waterford.
