Those upset by the news of the Salvation Army Thrift Store closing their doors for good may have a reason to smile.
As we reported earlier this morning, the Salvation Army Thrift Store posted on their social media page that the store was going to be closed indefinitely on May 31st.
The post went on to say that donations were no longer being accepted as they were looking to clear out inventory prior to the closure.
After this story aired, Officer Stephen Frank with the Salvation Army contacted us.
He informed us that the post was made in error yesterday and that the future of the Thrift Store is currently being discussed.
He said a decision has not been made on the closure of the store at this time.
He went on to apologize for the mix up, and the original post on their page has now been deleted.
