It appears that MPP Toby Barrett may not be running in the upcoming provincial election.
According to the Simcoe Reformer, Haldimand Mayor Ken Hewitt has been pegged to replace Barrett.
Hewitt told the paper that the Premier’s office approaching him about running and they he said doing so would be an honour.
Barrett’s office has told us that all inquiries about who is running for the upcoming election must be directed to the Ontario Progressive Conservatives.
We have not heard back from Hewitt or the Conservatives at this time.
