Ontario’s top doctor confirmed in a media briefing yesterday that the province is in the 6th wave of the pandemic, but Dr. Kieran Moore isn’t reinstating a broad mask mandate.
Dr. Moore is strongly recommending people continue to wear masks in indoor public spaces.
When it comes to schools, he said masks will continue to be optional.
But he adds a broad mask mandate won’t be reinstated at this time even though hospital and ICU admissions are on the rise.
He also announced that he is expanding eligibility for P-C-R testing and anti-viral treatments.
