International Women’s Day seems like the perfect date to start a fundraiser for G.I.R.L.S. Power Camp.
Power Bids for G.I.R.L.S. Power Camp is set to being at 12 p.m. on March 8.
That was Haley Wilson, GPC Coordinator at Haldimand-Norfolk Women’s Services.
After two years of running the camp virtually, they are hoping to meet everyone face to face this December.
Before the pandemic started the camp cost around $20,000 to run each year.
The goal of the fundraiser is to secure $100,000 to prepare for camp for the next five years.
A video on how to register for the 32 Auctions site is available on the GIRLS Power Camp Facebook page.
The auction closes on March 13 at 8 p.m., with all items being delivered the following week.
Camp Trillium has been booked for the first weekend in December with the hopes that COVID-19 restrictions will allow for camp to run.
A donation drive is also going on for items that are often used at camp.
The auction can be found here.
