The Ontario government is looking to widen Highway 6 South in Hamilton.
The Ontario government is seeking to increase lane capacity from two lanes to four over a nine kilometre segment between Highway 403 and Upper James Street.
Highway 6 is a major connection point throughout Haldimand and Norfolk and many residents likely use this stretch of road frequently.
The Preliminary Design and EA Update Study will include outreach to Indigenous communities, municipalities, and stakeholders including the airport and business owners.
The project is expected to commence in spring 2022, with a targeted completion of spring 2024.
