Supply issues have slowed production at Toyotetsu.
Charlene Ewing, Administration for Toyotetsu Canada, said in an email that some of their customers have been impacted by a number of supply chain issues.
These issues include severe weather and COVID related challenges, including issues related to the Ambassador Bridge blockade.
They are offering their employees three options during a production disruption.
They can use a paid vacation day, take an unpaid day off, or come to work for their regular shift where they would be provided with training or other work.
Michael Bouliane, Manager of Corporate Communications for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada said in an email that all three production lines, in Cambridge and Woodstock, have paused.
He said they expect to continue to see disruptions throughout the weekend, but they do not anticipate any impacts to employment.
