
The Norfolk County Library has a new CEO.
Julie Kent has taken over the role of Chief Executive Officer at the library.
The board of directors selected Kent out of a pool of applicants from across Canada after beginning their search in October, 2021.
Kent joins the NCPL after a successful run as Library Services Manager at the Weston Family Library at the Toronto Botanical Garden. She has also worked for the Huntsville Public Library, King’s University College, and more.
She is a Master of Library and Information Science, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours English, Women’s Studies Option.
In a press release from the board, Kent said her top priorities for the library include engaging with the community, enhancing user experience, and focusing on essential programs and services.
Former CEO Heather King retired in December, 2021.
