The Delhi Kinsmen Pool is getting a facelift in the near future.
Norfolk County was told they are officially approved for a grant of up to $500,000 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Two renovations are on the docket:
The Pool Shell & Filtration System Upgrade project is to update the filtration tank, pumps, pipes, and pool shell, which is required due to the age of the facility.
The Pool Building Renovation project is to complete extensive renovations to the pool building’s interior infrastructure, such as new accessible entrances/exits, change room and washroom upgrades, upgraded flooring and walls, new electrical and plumbing fixtures, and the addition of a universal washroom and shower facility.
The pool and recreation building were originally constructed in 1965, and although previous upgrades have improved accessibility, the facility requires extensive re-construction to achieve accessibility standards, to meet demands for usage, and to ensure continued safe and efficient operations.
