Careless smoking caused an estimated $70,000 in damage to a home in Port Dover.
At around 1 p.m. on Thursday, three stations from the Norfolk County Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Chapman Street East in Port Dover.
Smoke was coming from the second storey on the building when crews arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the flame to a single room.
No injuries were reported as a result of this event.
