With the province gradually easing public health restrictions yesterday (Monday), Norfolk County is reopening some facilities.
These include recreation venues and programs, museums, halls and libraries.
Simcoe Recreation Centre, Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre, and all arenas are now open and programming is underway with winter swim lessons beginning Tuesday.
Halls are open, however singing and dancing will not be allowed except for workers or performers.
Norfolk County Archives reopens Tuesday and Port Dover, Delhi, and Waterford museums reopen Thursday.
Council meetings will be held virtually until at least March 15.

Effective today, Norfolk County will begin re-opening following the modified Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen.
Recreation Facilities and Programs
· Simcoe Recreation Centre, Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre, and all arenas reopen January 31
· Patrons must remain seated when consuming food or drink
· Recreation programming begins January 31
· Winter swim lessons will resume February 1

Halls
· Reopen January 31
· Singing and dancing will not be allowed except for workers or performers
· The number of patrons permitted to sit at a table at which food or drink is sold or served with be limited to 10 people – and patrons must remain seated
Museums
· Norfolk County Archives reopens February 1
· Port Dover, Delhi, and Waterford museums reopen February 3
· Visitors may pre-book visits through the museums’ individual websites
Libraries
· Continue to stay open for the public
· Meeting rooms are re-opened at 50 per cent capacity
· Groups who reserve rooms are responsible for attendees’ proof of vaccination

· Access to computers, photocopiers and other similar services continue to be available
Capacity limits for the facilities listed above will be capped at 50 per cent until at least February 21. Proof of vaccination status with enhanced QR code is mandatory. Screening, masking and physically distancing will remain in effect for these facilities. Visitors are encouraged to use the Provincial screening tool prior to entry.
ServiceNorfolk operations will continue at the Robinson Administration Building, Suite 100, 185 Robinson St., Simcoe and also by phone, email, and mail/drop-box.
Additional drop-box locations throughout the County are available for payments, and documents. Locations are as follows:
· Norfolk County Libraries in Simcoe, Delhi, Port Rowan, Waterford and Port Dover (using the book return boxes outside each library)
· County Administration Building, 50 Colborne Street S., Simcoe (Talbot St. entrance)
· Delhi Administration Building, 183 Main St. of Delhi
· Langton Community Centre, 28 Albert St. Langton
Technical counters, including ServiceNorfolk pop-up services (in Delhi and Port Rowan), are planning to reopen March 14.
Critical services such as emergency response (Fire and Paramedics), water treatment, garbage and recycling collection and Simcoe transfer station will continue as normal.
Public health activities performed by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit will remain unchanged, including those related to COVID19, water sampling, and harm reduction.
Council meetings will be held virtually until at least March 15.
For continued safety, and to align with provincial recommendations, County staff who are able will continue to work from home.
