The Strand in Simcoe is once again closed.
Another Provincial directive has shut down the theatre once more, just as they were seeing great attendance for films such as Spiderman: No Way Home.
That was Owner Mark Rapley.
He said even when they were open, there was a period of time where they couldn’t serve goods such as popcorn and pop – which he said wasn’t helping any theatre.
With this new shut down, Rapley says the Strand has been in Simcoe for decades – and a stumble along the way shouldn’t stop them from going well into the future.
With that, Rapley said they’ll need your help to get back on track – and all you need to do is enjoy a movie.
He also wanted to ensure the public knows that they take COVID-19 precautions seriously, and that when you do come back, it will be that safe environment you would hope for.
Re-opening plans will be announced on the Strand’s Facebook page when they get the go ahead to re-open.
