A true pillar of the Port Dover community has sadly passed away.
The Port Dover Lion’s announced the passing of Stan Morris.
Morris was a strong advocate for the community of Port Dover, with his work on various committees and service groups.
He contributed over 50 years of service to the Lions alone.
Though impressive, his commitment to the community through the Port Dover Maple Leaf in truly incredible.
Morris joined the Maple Leaf in 1948 and wrote stories and proofread every until until his death.
That was over 70 years of watching the community grow and change, and reporting on the situation in the lakeside town.
His work in the community led to numerous awards over his lifetime, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
