Access to county roads may soon be granted to ATVs.
Ken Person, president of the Norfolk County ATV Club, requested extended access at the council meeting on Tuesday.
Person’s deputation included a request for a two-year pilot project.
The proposal would see access from mid-April to mid-November, starting 30 minutes after sunrise and ending 30 minutes before sunset each day.
Councillor Linda Vandendriessche brought forward a concern.
Person said the group would like to work with the county on providing and mapping out proper signage.
Council requested staff bring back a report at a later date regarding the options surrounding access to county roads and woodlots for ATVs.
