Over the past 18 years, Farm Credit Canada has supported close to 1,500 projects that support positive changes in rural communities.
This year the Delhi Imperial Place Community Health Centre and Caledonia Agricultural Society will benefit from a $20,000 contribution each.
The Delhi funding will be use to purchase security surveillance equipment, communications systems, signage and a desk for the health centre’s reception area.
The funds in Caledonia will be used to purchase and install new ventilation and suppression systems and upgrade the appliances in the society’s community kitchen.
FCC executive vice-president Sophie Perreault stresses supporting rural communities is not just about making a donation.
It’s about making a difference.
